Celebrating the opening of KAS Online
Lesson Plan Competition
Welcome to the Lesson Plan Competition hosted by Korean American Studies (KAS) Online!
As a dedicated resource hub, KAS Online provides online educational materials for those interested in teaching Korean and Korean American Studies. We cordially invite teachers, curriculum specialists, and pre-service teachers (including student teachers) to participate in this competition by submitting a creative and engaging lesson plan that incorporates the resources available on our website.
A total of four prizes will be awarded : Elementary Level (K-5), Middle Level (6-8), High School Level (9-12), and a special prize for the best lesson plan by a student teacher.
The deadline for submitting your lesson plan is October 30, 2023.
Winners of the competition will be honored with a prestigious $500 award.
To ensure fairness, please review the guidelines and instructions provided:
- Eligibility:Participants must be classroom teachers, curriculum specialists, or pre-service teachers (including student teachers) at the time of submission.
- Categories:Elementary Level (K-5), Middle Level (6-8), High School Level (9-12).
- Lesson Duration:The lesson plan should last between 1 and 3 class periods, following the attached template.
